Eligibility Criteria (Key Points)
All candidates must fulfill all applicable criteria as specified in the brochure:
- JEE Main Performance: Must be among the top 2,50,000 candidates in JEE Main 2026 (B.E./B.Tech. paper). .
- Age Limit: Typically born on or after 1 October 2001 (with age relaxations as per category rules)
- Attempts: Maximum two attempts in two consecutive years. Class XII Requirement: Must have appeared in Class XII (or equivalent) examination first in 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (certain criteria). .
- IIT Admission History: Not eligible if previously admitted to an IIT under a degree programme (with some exceptions for preparatory course joiners).
- Foreign/Auxiliary Categories: Foreign nationals and OCI/PIO (F) candidates have specific eligibility clauses including direct registration (they need not take JEE Main 2026).
