In order to address queries filed by applicants with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) regarding the All-India Pre-Medical Test-2016, the board has sent out notifications and uploaded the same on its website as well.
Queries raised by the applicants included refund of excess fee, medium of language for exam, change of examination centre, qualification impacting eligibility of candidate, photograph/document-related doubts among other things. Below are the Queries and their answers provided on the CBSE AIPMT Website:
Q) Fee has been paid twice through debit/credit card. When will excess fee be refunded?
Ans: This kind of refund is made in auto mode similarly as is being done in case of railway reservation. Concerned banks will verify and refund the fee automatically in the same account from which fee has been paid.
Q) Photo has been uploaded in the application form which doesn’t have name of the candidate and date of photograph.
Ans: The photograph which is to be uploaded in the application form does not require name of the candidate and date of photograph. Also, if any candidate has uploaded the photograph having name and date of photograph, the same will also be accepted. But name and date of photograph is must on the photograph to be carried to the examination centre on the day of examination affixed on the proforma.
Q) I wish to choose English as medium but wrongly Hindi has been chosen. Now wish to change the medium.
Ans: In such cases, no change is allowed. However, the Hindi medium paper will be bilingual meaning thereby it will be both in Hindi and English.
Q) I wish to choose Hindi as medium but wrongly English has been chosen. Now wish to change the medium.
Ans: In such cases, no change is allowed. Candidates will be supplied question paper in English medium only.
Q) I wish to change the Examination Centre City.
Ans) No change is allowed once the choice of the centre city has been submitted.
Q) I have filled in the wrong qualification code.
Ans: Qualification code once submitted is not allowed to be changed as it makes no effect on the eligibility of the candidate for the AIPMT Examination.
Meanwhile, the CBSE in another notification regarding the All-India Pre-Medical/PreDental Test-2016, has stated that the applicants must read the bulletin carefully before submitting the application form.
The notification also states that the applicants must speak for a smaller period of time on the board’s helpline numbers as it has been observed that some applicants continue to talk for too long. Lastly, the notification also states that the applicants must confirm their queries with single caller and not call on multiple helpline numbers for the same doubt.
This comes at the backdrop that the board had provide nine mobile numbers and telephone numbers in order to respond to general queries of the candidates in addition to one toll-free number.
