The admission into engineering colleges (PCM group) in Bihar will have another round of Counselling as the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has decided to conduct the third round of registration for some candidates. The BCECE 2018 was scheduled to have one round of registration and three rounds of allotment for admission into engineering colleges in Bihar but the board decided to conduct another two rounds of registration and allotment.
While the two rounds have already been completed, it is now inviting candidates for the third round of registration.
In a notification released on August 28, the BCECEB said that the third round of registration is for candidates who could not report to the allocated institutions after the first round of allotment or candidates who reported in the first round but did not upgrade to the second round.
Below are the eligible candidates for the third round of counselling:
1- Candidates who could not report to the allocated institutions after the first round of allotment.
2- Those who reported in the first round but did not upgrade to the second round.
3- Those who filled wrong category (SC/ST/EBC/BC/SMQ/DQ) and their allotment was in the already filled category, and they were returned by institutes as Unreserved (UR).
4- Those who were not allotted seat in first round but were alotted in the second round but they could not report to the institute.
5- Candidates who were alotted same institute, same or same Institute and different Branch but could not report.
6- Candidates who were upgraded in the second round but could not report to the institute.
The last date to register for the third round of BCECE 2018 counselling is August 30. The allotment result will be declared the next day. Candidates need to report at the reporting centre for admission and document verification from August 31 to September 2.
BCECE exam for the PCM group was conducted on April 29 and April 30. The results were declared on June 19. The Counselling for 2018 BCECE admission began on July 18 and the third round’s allotment and reporting was supposed to finish on August 15th.
