Expressing serious concerns over the selection of candidates for undergoing MBBS, BDS and other professional courses, the All Nagaland College Students’ Union has urged the department of technical education to verify the documents of the candidates before allotment of seats.
In a representation addressed to the director technical education, the ANCSU vice president, Benjong Longchar, and general secretary, Vimeyiekho Vitso, appealed for cross checking doubtful candidates (non-indigenous people) through electoral voters list of 1963 of Nagaland.
With regard to the merit list of the NEET 2018, the ANCSU urged the responsible authority to “meticulously verify” the ST and indigenous certificates of the selected candidates.
