Candidates appearing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2018 on Sunday are barred from wearing charm/tabeez, items containing metals such as ring, bracelet, earrings, nose pin, chain/necklace, pendant, badge, brooch, hair pin and hair band among other things. They are also asked not to wear full sleeves or big buttoned clothes.
All digital gadgets, including smart/digital/programmable watches, mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pager and health band, are not allowed into the examination centre.
Candidates will be allowed to carry/wear a simple analog watch, open footwear like chappals and sandals.
The students have to report at the examination centre before 7.30 am. The paper-I of the exam will be conducted from 9 am to 12 pm and paper-II from 2 pm to 5 pm
For the first time, the JEE Advanced will be a computer-based test. In Telangana, the exam will be conducted in centres located in Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nizamabad and Warangal districts.
About 18,000 candidates from the State are likely to sit for the entrance exam for admissions into Indian Institutes of Technology.
