Candidates who appeared the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2018 demanded re-examination as several centres across the city witnessed technical glitches and disturbances during the online exam. Students also alleged that there are so many discrepancies in the answer keys of the exams.
This year the national level entrance test held for admission in 19 National Law Universities was conducted by National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS), Kochi.
“It was terrible. The computer I was allowed to sit for the exam shut down several times during the exam. Besides, it got logged off repeatedly leading to a nervous breakdown. I worked really hard throughout the year for the entrance but due to technical glitches our career will be ruined,” said Sikha Suman, a candidate, who appeared the exam in Indus Engineering College.
The students alleged that several questions did not appear on the screen while there were also errors in questions.
“CLAT- 2018 was an extremely bad experience from me, from technical glitches, to rude and inexperienced invigilators, to faulty answer key provisional result. I was allotted a computer which first had the wrong administration login initials to begin with. It took me 15 minutes to gain the attention of one of the seven invigilators present there. Then when the paper started, the screen was blank and the questions and options either didn’t appear, or they came in an encrypted form,” said Shreyashree Nayak, a candidate.
