Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu instructed the officials to strive for increase in satisfaction levels among people to 90 per cent by improving the performance of all government departments.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with HoDs of 33 departments at the Secretariat on Friday. Naidu asked the officials to study on what can be done for increase of satisfaction levels among public and congratulated the officials for their efforts to take the satisfaction levels to 73 per cent.
He said, “All departments have to improve their performance and endeavor to provide the best services to people. You need to estimate your performance levels every month.
The aim of welfare is not only happiness but also credibility and satisfaction over the government services more important.” He suggested to officials that non-financial matters can be resolved immediately which help to increase satisfaction levels.
He also said the function of newly introduced Bhudhaar system was under assessment and the performance of comprehensive financial management system was satisfactory.
Explaining the welfare schemes and efforts of government to improve the living standards of people, Naidu said the government has laid more focus on creation of infrastructure in villages as well. “People have no need now to walk miles for drinking water.
We are supplying quality power without increasing charges. Students of welfare hostels and schools achieved good results in competitive examinations such as JEE entrance test,” he said.
He said the people were happy with the implementation of welfare schemes. “The satisfaction level on NTR Vaidya Seva is 88.90 per cent, on national free dialysis scheme is 89.50 per cent, 82.3 per cent on Thalli Bidda Express scheme and 96 per cent on CM E-Netra Chikitsa centres,” he said.
The Chief Minister wanted the officials to put efforts to take the satisfaction levels to 96 per cent on Chandranna Bima scheme and above 90 per cent on public distribution system, pensions and other welfare schemes.
Students meet CM
The rankers in IIT-JEE entrance have met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat. On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that it was proud to him that 216 students got good ranks in IIT-JEE entrance test though they studied in SC/ST welfare hostels.
He also praised 140 students of welfare hostels who got 10 GPS in SSC examination. Naidu said the SC/ST students would be given Rs 15 lakh for their abroad studies. Minister for social welfare N Ananda Babu, principal secretary Girija Sankar and principal secretary to social welfare S S Rawat participated..
