JEE Main results 2018: Check AIRs here

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the JEE Main 2018 results along with cut-offs for eligibility to appear in JEE (Advanced) at jeemain.nic.in.

You can also check all the results at cbseresults.nic.in. While Suraj Krishna from Vijayawada (General category) held All India Rank 1 with a score of 350, nobody scored a full score.

  • More than 10 lakh candidates appeared in the JEE Main 2018 offline exam and more than 2 lakh candidates appeared for the online exam
  • The offline exam was held on April 8, 2018, and the online exam was held on 15 and 16 April 2018
  • Top 2,24,000 AIR candidates who qualify Paper-1 of JEE Mains 2018 will be eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) exam 2018
  • The JEE Advanced 2018 exam will be held on May 20, 2018 in fully Computer Based Test mode
  • The registration process for the exam will start from May 2, 2018
  • It is mandatory to pass this examination to enroll in the engineering bachelors program of NITs, IITs and other educational institutions

HOW TO CHECK THE RESULTS

  • Log on to the official website, jeemain.nic.in/webinfo/Public/Home.aspx or results.gov.in/index.aspx
  • Click on the relevant link titled ‘Result/Rank of Paper – 1 of Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2018’
  • Enter your roll number/ registration number in the space provided along with your date of birth
  • Click to submit
  • Your score will be displayed! Candidates are advised to download the score card

HOW MERIT AMONGST AIR CANDIDATES OBTAINING EQUAL MARKS WILL BE DECIDED

  • Rank list for admission to BE / BTech (in institutions other than IITs)
  • Resolution by marks obtained in mathematics in JEE (Main) 2018 — candidate obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank
  • Resolution by marks obtained in physics in the JEE (Main) 2018– candidate obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank
  • Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks — a candidate with a higher absolute value of the ratio will be given a better rank
  • Despite the above three steps, a resolution is not possible, then AIR candidates will be given the same rank.
