Summary of Results of JEE (Advanced) 2015

IIT Bombay, the coordinating authority of JEE Advanced 2015 released a summary document of JEE Advanced 2015 results. Highlights of the same are as under:

  • Total 26456 students have qualified out of total 124741 registered students. Out of these students 117238 students actually appeared for JEE Advanced 2015.
  • Out of these 26456 students, 16230 are from General category while 5911, 2570 and 1745 are the number of students qualifies from Other Backward Caste (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) category respectively.
  • This year relaxation was given in qualifying marks (as declared in JEE Advanced 2015 brochure). While 21156 students qualified without relaxation, 1337 qualified by 10% relaxation and 2797 students qualified with 50% relaxation. The possibility of relaxation was predicted by Managing Director of Resonance R K Verma Sir.
  • Out of the total 26456 selected students, 23407 are males while rest 3049 are females.
  • Satvat Jagwani, from Satna (Madhya Pradesh) stood first in the examination with 469 marks out of 504. All top three positions are held by students from Madhya Pradesh. Girl topper Krati Tiwari (AIR 47) is also from Madhya Pradesh.
