The results for JEE (Main) 2015, organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E), New Delhi have been declared on 27 Apr 2015. And once again, Resonance proves its mettle with 11,002 qualifying students for JEE (Advanced) 2015. JEE (Main) is the qualifying exam for JEE (Advanced) to get admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology and is also the entrance exam for several reputed Engineering Colleges of India.
So far, total 11,002 students have been qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2015 which is highest from any single institute. Other highlights are as under:
- Of the qualified students, 7831 are from Regular Classroom Program and 3171 are from Distance Learning and e-Learning Program of Resonance.
- Highest number of selections from Kota Study Centre (5426). It is also an highest from any institute in Kota.
- Result also shows that Resonance has the best Distance Learning Program running all over the country.
- From Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya (JNV) Bundi, Resonance has given 100 % result this year where all the 56 students who appeared for the exam have been qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2015. Last year 99% of the students of JNV Bundi had qualified for JEE (Advanced) and 95% of them had been selected in JEE (Advanced) 2014.
Total 17 students of Resonance scored more than 300 marks out of 360 in the exam, out of which 07 are from Regular Classroom Program and 10 students are from Distance Learning and e-Learning Program of Resonance. Arpan Banerjee, a classroom student of Resonance has scored 323 marks out of 360 which is the highest score from Resonance.
Mr. R.K Verma, MD of Resonance says that in JEE (Main) 2015, total 11,002 students of Resonance qualified for JEE (Advanced) 2015, which is a tremendous achievement and result of hard work of students and faculties.
This year, around 13 Lakh students from all over India appeared for JEE (Main). Around 1.50 Lakh students will qualify for JEE (Advanced) 2015 through their selection in JEE (Main) 2015. Of these 1.50 Lakh students, 50.5 % will be from General Category, 27% will be from OBC Category, 15% from SC Category and 7.5 % students will be from ST Category. Maximum Marks in JEE (Main) 2015 was 360, of which 120 marks were for each subject. In JEE (Main) 2015, the cutoff for JEE (Advanced) 2015, for General Category is 105, for OBC Category is 70, SC Category is 50, for ST Category is 44. C.B.S.E., New Delhi will generate a separate preference list for National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other premier Engineering Colleges. This preference list will be prepared based on the combined score of students including 60% weightage of JEE (Main) marks and 40% weightage of class XIIth Board Percentage.
